Pranavi Urs finishes as top Indian with tied-21st at Hills Open in Sweden

Indian golfer Pranavi Urs emerged as the best-placed Indian at the Hills Open in Gothenburg, Sweden, finishing tied-21st after a solid week of golf on the Ladies European Tour.

Pranavi, who is gradually working her way back after an injury setback, produced a 2-under 69 in the final round at the Hills Golf & Sports Club, closing the tournament at 4-over for the week. Though she narrowly missed out on a top-15 finish, her performance marked an encouraging step forward in her comeback journey.

The Mysuru golfer looked in strong rhythm with four birdies on the 7th, 11th, 12th, and 14th holes, climbing steadily up the leaderboard. However, a costly double bogey on the par-4 17th stalled her charge, as the back nine presented testing conditions for much of the field.

Among the other Indians in action, Hitaashee Bakshi carded a 71 on Sunday to finish tied-41st at 7-over, while Sneha Singh slipped with a 76 in the final round, ending tied-47th. Meanwhile, Tvesa Malik, Amandeep Drall, Avani Prashanth, and Vani Kapoor were unable to make the cut earlier in the week.

At the top, Swedish amateur Meja Ortengren delighted home fans by clinching her maiden Ladies European Tour (LET) title, finishing two shots clear of the field with a composed display on Sunday.

For Pranavi, the week provided a strong indication of her progress on the international stage. With her confidence and consistency building after returning from injury, the 21-year-old continues to strengthen her presence in European golf.
