Indian Golf Round-Up: Anirban Lahiri Ends LIV Season 25th, Aditi Ashok Secures Best Finish of 2025

Indian golfers delivered a mixed bag of results across global tours this week, with Anirban Lahiri wrapping up his LIV Golf regular season, Aditi Ashok recording her best LPGA finish of the year, and several other Indians gaining valuable experience on international circuits.

Lahiri Finishes 25th in LIV Golf Standings

Anirban Lahiri signed off his LIV Golf season with a steady two-under 69 to finish T27 at LIV Golf Indianapolis, closing the regular season 25th in the individual standings.

Lahiri posted rounds of 67-67-69 for a total of 10-under par, as Sebastian Munoz defeated Jon Rahm in a playoff after both players tied at 22-under. Rahm, however, topped the season-long standings to claim his second consecutive LIV individual title.

Finishing 25th placed Lahiri just outside the ‘Lock Zone’, which guarantees a place for the 2026 season. He now enters the ‘Open Zone’, meaning his team, Crushers GC, captained by Bryson DeChambeau, can choose to retain, trade, or release him. Lahiri has been a consistent contributor for Crushers, who finished among the top teams this season.

Aditi Ashok Records Best LPGA Finish of 2025

On the LPGA Tour, Aditi Ashok delivered her strongest performance of the year, finishing sixth at The Standard Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

Aditi closed with a five-under 67, registering rounds of 69-70-65-67 to finish at 17-under par. The result marks her best finish of the 2025 season and only her second top-10 this year, providing a significant boost to her LPGA campaign.

Indian-American Gurleen Kaur impressed with a career-best runner-up finish, ending at 20-under, while Akie Iwai secured her maiden LPGA title. Savannah Grewal, representing Canada, finished T38.

Saptak Talwar Finishes Top-30 in Finland

Saptak Talwar ended T27 at the Vierumaki Finnish Challenge on the HotelPlanner Tour despite a challenging final round of 3-over 75.

After putting himself in contention for a top-five finish through three rounds, Talwar struggled on the back nine on Sunday. His tournament rounds of 73-67-65-75 saw him finish the week at 8-under par, still managing a respectable top-30 finish.

Rayhan Thomas and Veer Ahlawat Gain Valuable Experience

On the Korn Ferry Tour, Rayhan Thomas finished T58 at the Albertsons Boise Open, carding a final-round 72 for a total score of eight-under par. He began the week strongly but could not maintain momentum over the final two rounds.

Meanwhile, Veer Ahlawat finished T34 at the Danish Golf Championship on the DP World Tour. His closing round of 1-over 72 included three birdies and four bogeys, leaving him at one-under par for the tournament. The result is expected to slightly improve his Race to Dubai ranking, keeping his DP World Tour card hopes alive.

A Busy Week for Indian Golf

With Indian golfers competing across LIV Golf, LPGA, DP World Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, and HotelPlanner Tour, the week highlighted both progress and challenges on the global stage. Strong performances from Lahiri and Aditi Ashok stood out, while emerging talents continue to gain valuable experience at the highest levels of the sport.
