The LPGA Tour returns to Qizhong Garden Golf Club in Shanghai for the fall Asian swing, with several high-profile players featured in Thursday’s opening groups.

Group 1: Angel Yin / Miranda Wang / Danielle Kang

  • Angel Yin – The 2023 Buick LPGA Shanghai winner, Yin claimed her second 2025 victory at the Honda LPGA Thailand earlier this year. She has been consistent in her majors with top-10 finishes at the U.S. Women’s Open (T9), KPMG Women’s PGA Championship (T6), and The Amundi Evian Championship (T5). Yin ranks in the top 30 in strokes gained putting (+1.00) and strokes gained total (+1.10) and has been impressive in bogey-free rounds (T7) and greens hit from the rough (57.88%). Currently 10th in both the Official Money List and the Race to the CME Globe.
  • Miranda Wang – The Chinese rookie secured her first LPGA win at the FM Championship in Boston in August and aims to perform in front of a home crowd. Wang ranks 8th in strokes gained putting (+0.88) and is in the top 20 for putts per green in regulation (T19, 1.77) and putts per round (T20, 29.19). Her best finish at Shanghai prior to 2025 was T47.
  • Danielle Kang – Two-time past champion at Shanghai (2018, 2019), Kang is playing on a sponsor exemption this week. She has made only 5 cuts in 17 starts this season and is currently 170th in the Race to the CME Globe.

Group 2: Jeeno Thitikul / Minjee Lee / Ruoning Yin

  • Jeeno Thitikul – World No. 1 and 2025 Mizuho Americas Open winner, Thitikul has recorded 52 top-10 finishes since her rookie season in 2022, leading the LPGA in top-10 results. She is excelling statistically in scoring average (69.16), strokes gained total (+2.88), rounds in the 60s (61.4%), bogey avoidance (11.31%), and par-3 (2.90) and par-4 scoring (3.93). This is her second Shanghai appearance; she tied for 5th in 2024.
  • Minjee Lee – 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship winner and Rolex ANNIKA Major Award recipient, Lee has 11 career LPGA wins and four top-five finishes in her 18 events this season. Her putting stats are strong, ranking 2nd in strokes gained putting (+1.13) and top-10 in several other putting metrics. She has three prior top-15 finishes at Shanghai (T14 in 2018, T13 in 2023, 8th in 2024).
  • Ruoning Yin – Defending champion at Shanghai, Yin dominated last year by six strokes, marking her fourth LPGA title and second of three wins in 2024. She ranks inside the top 15 in strokes gained approach (8, +0.85), strokes gained tee to green (10, +1.22), and strokes gained total (14, +1.46). She is also 32nd in strokes gained off the tee (+0.41).

These groups showcase a mix of past champions, current leaders, and rising talent, making the Buick LPGA Shanghai one of the most exciting stops of the LPGA Asian swing.
