The DP World India Championship 2025 marks a major milestone for Indian golf as one of the strongest international fields ever assembled in the country arrives at Delhi Golf Club this October.

Scheduled from October 16 to 19, the inaugural edition of the tournament will feature elite global players, leading Indian professionals, and a $4 million prize purse, making it the highest-funded DP World Tour event ever held in India. Co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), the championship forms part of the crucial “Back 9” phase of the Race to Dubai season.

World No. 2 Rory McIlroy will headline the field, marking his first competitive appearance in India. The four-time Major winner and reigning Masters champion will be joined by fellow Ryder Cup stars Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, and Shane Lowry, along with Europe’s back-to-back Ryder Cup-winning captain Luke Donald, who returns to individual competition.

On the home front, Indian golf will be strongly represented by Shubhankar Sharma, Anirban Lahiri, Shiv Kapur, and Veer Ahlawat, all aiming to challenge the international stars on familiar terrain.
