Arjun Kucchal clinched the overall gross winner rolling trophy at the Shri PM Rungta Memorial Golf Cup 2026, held at the historic Rambagh Golf Club, Jaipur, on Sunday.
The one-day tournament attracted nearly 143 golfers, making it one of the most well-attended amateur golf events in the region this season.
Strong turnout across diverse golfing community
The tournament saw participation from golfers representing a wide cross-section of society, including bureaucrats, industry leaders, judges, army personnel, and railway officers. The event was played in the Stableford – Single Peoria format, ensuring competitive balance across handicaps.

Presence of sporting icons adds prestige
The event was graced by several prominent personalities, including Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Gagan Khoda, and Amrit Mathur, adding further stature to the tournament.
Kapil Dev praised the spirit of the event, stating that tournaments like the Shri PM Rungta Memorial Golf Cup not only promote golf but also bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds while fostering sportsmanship.
Foundation outlines long-term vision for golf development
Gaurav Rungta, Trustee of the Shri PM Rungta Foundation, highlighted the tournament’s broader objective of promoting discipline, patience, and strategic thinking through golf. He announced that the tournament will be organised annually and reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to supporting young and emerging golfers through training and development initiatives.
About the Shri PM Rungta Foundation
Established in 2013 in memory of late PM Rungta, the Shri PM Rungta Foundation is actively involved in education, healthcare, and sports development. Its initiatives include managing Sanskrit colleges, supporting tribal schools, running mid-day meal programmes, organising eye-care camps, and sponsoring emerging sporting talent.
